This pleasant green van has been on the road for a while and has seen more of the world.

It was familiar with Germany when new. It was later imported to Finland at around four years old and given a new life here.


The vehicle still has spirit and the next adventures are tempting.


You can set off shortly after starting it. It accelerates and cruises at a suitable pace, although the clutch shows more under load in third gear when accelerating hard.

In the lower gears it still pulls and the clutch does not slip. In higher gears it can slip noticeably if pushed.

The clutch has also brought a smell into the cabin, which a hanging air freshener or ozone treatment might ease, but eventually replacing the clutch disc should remove the smell completely.


This is not a rust bucket. The paintwork is reasonably good and the cab is fairly tidy.

Equipment includes two sets of tyres, an engine heater, ply-lining, central locking with remote control,

and a parking sensor system that does not work. As some sharp-eyed viewers noticed in the photos, the sensors are missing or pushed in.

Inside, however, the parking sensor display units with lights and a buzzer do work.



Seatbelts are fitted for all seats and the warning light seems to think a belt is unfastened even when it is fastened.


This van hasn’t been used to tow large trailers across Finland, as it has no towbar — which for many is a good thing.


The tyre tread is still in good shape and alloy wheels finish the look on both sets.


The van has been used for work, as shown by the ply-lining. It is worn as you’d expect from a working vehicle.

Some marks and surface corrosion are already visible on the exterior. It is not a rust pit.


It has been serviced... but the service reminder on the dashboard indicates something is due again.

For a vehicle of this age, an oil and filter change will often be enough.


A traction limiter helps with setting off and prevents unnecessary wheelspin.


A Kenwood touchscreen unit with Bluetooth and navigation crowns the interior.

Defects and other observations

During a short test drive we noted the following

  • Good acceleration in the low gears.

  • The clutch appears to slip in higher gears. It already smells like the clutch.

  • Reasonably presentable and not a “rust barrel”.

  • Decent tyres.

  • Kenwood touchscreen unit with navigation.


  • Faults: clutch slip in higher gears under strong acceleration, seatbelt warning light does not go out, service reminder active, and parking sensors broken.


  • With a bit of work you can get a nice vehicle, or combine parts from another.


  • Doors lock, so tools can be kept secure.
