Another warning light is just a blown-bulb fault light, caused by at least one rear light and one parking light bulb failure.


For a driver, this is a nicely running car, although it certainly needs some work. The most VISIBLE items for repair are the missing outer handle of the sliding door and numerous

corrosion spots that CREATE DIFFERENT SHADES on the otherwise one-tone blue exterior.


Blue metallic paint used to be a LUXURY EXTRA on new cars.


Also EXCELLENT EQUIPMENT includes air conditioning, Webasto heater (with timer), engine heater, fog lights, trip computer, CD radio and ASR traction control.


SPACE is provided by sliding doors on both sides (they work, although one has no external handle...).


This becomes almost a VAN when you fold the seats down, making the sense of space feel TRULY ENORMOUS.


The reputation of this engine in one word: WORKHORSE. Only good things are said about this 1.9-litre engine.


That it is not BEAUTIFUL to look at does not make it ugly — beauty is in the EYE OF THE BEHOLDER.

Defects and other observations

During a short test drive we made the following observations

  • Corrosion has taken hold quite severely

  • The sliding door handle is missing on one side. (door works from the inside)

  • Sun visor detached at one edge

  • Airbag warning light is flickering

  • A defective bulb's light is on

  • Rear footwell plastics broken...and other trim.



    Other observations;

  • The Webasto heater started running, and the seat heater worked.

  • On the road the car feels fairly good. The mileage is such that some "play" is to be expected, but likely not something that would prevent an MOT.

  • New hubcaps

  • Tinted rear windows

  • Nearly half a tank of diesel (at least according to the gauge)

  • Maxi model, i.e. the LARGER one

  • NOTE! Nearly completely rust-free tailgate !!!!




    Now there are other shouts than "HURRAY LIONS, HURRAY!!"
