Defects and other observations

Before listing the car we performed a test drive and condition assessment, during which we made the following observations:

  • The engine hesitates and stutters under acceleration, but runs OK on light throttle at steady speed; the engine warning light is on. The engine runs smoothly and does not knock.

  • Only winter tyres fitted.

  • Bonnet gas struts are broken and the bonnet has dents; there are also dents on the passenger-side wing.

  • Battery is poor.

  • Ignition barrel sticks slightly; works when pressing the key.

  • Crack at the top of the windscreen; did not affect the MOT.

  • The edge of the driver seat back is worn through.
