The 'engine system requires service' warning appears when the car is started and remains for a few minutes. The car was sluggish and the EGR was cleaned, after which it ran normally again, but the EGR still returns a fault code for the intake-manifold flaps. The car drives and functions completely normally, but still shows the fault code.
At the inspection a repair recommendation was issued for a coolant leak, but the fluid most likely comes from the steering gear, where the workshop found a leak. It has not been replaced because it works if the fluid is topped up a couple of times a year. A bottle costs approx. €15. There is no need to add coolant to the radiator.
