For sale: a well‑kept Audi Coupe GT (1987), fitted with the upgraded 2.2 l KV engine. The car has just been registered as a museum vehicle and was restored to running condition during 2025. It had stood for about 12 years in a dry garage and was rescued in December 2024; before that it appears to have been used almost daily, judging by the mileage. As a museum‑registered vehicle, running costs are low and the next inspection is 2 January 2029.


The mechanics work superbly and a lot has been serviced over the past year. Brakes have been done front and rear, timing system overhaul, the complete clutch assembly has been replaced and various smaller works carried out. There is suspicion the engine has been rebuilt at some stage because it pulls so well, but I have no definite information.


The car has been re‑sprayed after repair of minor surface rust, the wheels have just been powder‑coated and the tyres were purchased this year with only a couple of hundred kilometres on them.


Negatives include a crack in the windscreen (visible in the last photo). The seat‑heater wiring has not been connected during my ownership, so I cannot confirm if it works.
