ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause lightweight, positively charged particles to neutralise and clump together, forming larger, heavier particles that quickly fall out of the breathing zone.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air, which are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by many microbes, dispersed as aerosols into indoor air, pose a significant health risk if they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Heavy microbial toxins that do not disperse into indoor air cause harm mainly via spores, which are the producers of these dangerous toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When a device produces negative ions in addition to ozone, its effectiveness is 5–10 times better than ozone alone, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials, e.g. upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air present a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with respiration into the lower lungs (alveoli) and into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergies.

Ozonation and negative ionisation clean indoor air of harmful fine particles, and also remove bacteria, moulds, viruses and various gases.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work particularly effectively in a pressurised building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together form compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, for example sewer gases, smoke odours and the smells of bacterial and mould toxins, as well as stubborn cooking and tobacco odours.

    Ozone and negative ionisation also remove fine particles and MVOC (microbial volatile organic compounds) and VOCs (volatile organic compounds) from the air.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation provide a pleasant, easy‑to‑breathe indoor environment — clean air in which it is good to be.

    Together, ozone and negative ionisation produce very clean indoor air suitable for workplaces.

Indoor ozonation cannot be carried out while people are present, as ozone is produced in high concentrations to destroy microbial spores. The high ozone concentration combined with negative ionisation achieves a good cleaning result even in porous materials. After cleaning, the ozonated space is ventilated and occupants may return.
