ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions introduced into indoor air cause light, positively charged particles to clump together; the resulting heavier particles fall out of the breathing zone rapidly.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air that are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by microbes — microbe toxins — can cause severe health harm if they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Non‑mixed heavy microbe toxins harm health mainly via spores.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation depends on high concentrations.

When a unit produces negative ions in addition to ozone, its effectiveness is 5–10 times better than ozone alone, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhaled air to the deep lungs (alveoli) and then to the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergy.

Ozonation and negative ionisation clean indoor air of harmful fine particles and additionally remove bacteria, moulds, viruses and various gases.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work especially well in a positively pressured building.

    Ozone combined with negative ion treatment forms compounds that effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, e.g. sewer gases, smoke odours, bacterial and mould toxin odours, and stubborn cooking and tobacco odours.

    Ozone and negative ion treatment also remove fine particles and MVOC/VOC compounds from the air.

    Ozonation and negative ion treatment produce a pleasant, easy‑to‑breathe indoor air that is good for people to occupy.

    Combined ozone and negative ion treatment also produces very clean indoor air for workplaces.

Ozonation of indoor air cannot be carried out while people are present, because ozone is produced at high concentrations to destroy microbes. The combined effect of high ozone concentration and negative ionisation achieves good cleaning results even in porous materials. After treatment the space must be ventilated before people return.
