A Ford Scorpio 2.0i, a ministerial-level car in its day, is up for auction. The car passed its inspection in spring, and managed around 100 km of easy driving... After that, the gearbox began acting up. According to the seller, a reconditioned gearbox was fitted, but it would not shift into 3rd or 4th gear except at high revs. At the same time, the instrument cluster went dark (the cluster had already been replaced once, and according to the previous owner the mileage was considerably lower than on the current cluster), after which the car stopped charging!! The faults may be related... or they may not be. My motivation to investigate is 0! So here is a project car in the truest sense for the next enthusiast! Otherwise, the car is reasonably tidy, and the intention was to make it a museum vehicle. It has been a project for nearly the whole time I have owned it, and not all equipment etc. has been tested. For a skilled and motivated person, this is probably an easy and rewarding project!! A rare OHC fuel-injected version! Bid enthusiastically—there are not enough of these for everyone!!!
