Now getting rid of this never-ending project from the yard, as there clearly isn't enough time for it! The vehicle came to me in 2019 and was not roadworthy then; the engine had seized. I searched for an engine for a long time and found a low-mileage one in summer 2020. After fitting it, I got the vehicle inspected. The replacement engine had only covered approx. 250,000 km and the body 370,000 km at the time. I replaced the timing belt on the engine then, but it would probably need replacing again as its age is catching up. Since then, the vehicle has been driven approx. 4,000 km, and its inspection expired at the end of 2024. In its current condition, the vehicle runs and the engine works very well, but the front brake calliper on the driver's side is sticking. I have pushed the pads well back and used the handbrake when moving it around the yard. Corrosion has also taken its toll: there is rust around the wheel arches, which does not affect the inspection, or at least did not previously. There is rust on the chassis, but that is the case with all Mitsubishis of this age. Someone could turn this into a bombproof four-wheel-drive for winter, an off-road-capable hunting vehicle, or something completely different!

 

There appear to be relatively new studded winter tyres underneath, and summer tyres are included, but I do not remember what condition they are in!
