Well, the fire engine market is really heating up! Let's put another one up for auction so the Bedford doesn't get lonely.

This could even make a great family vehicle! 8 seats and a tow bar. There is room for a few dozen hobby items, and even a caravan can be towed behind. Alternatively, a terrace with a café could be built on the rear section of the roof. This would certainly attract attention outside a restaurant, for example.

The vehicle details state that an alteration inspection is required, meaning that before it can be used on the road, at a minimum the sirens, vehicle markings and warning beacons must be removed or concealed, followed by an alteration inspection. The last inspection was carried out in 2006, and the mileage really is under 16,000 km. 5.0-litre petrol V8 engine that runs whisper-quietly. Electronic breakerless ignition fitted afterwards. The chassis/frame is in very good condition (see the underbody photos), so a low-mileage fire engine like this is in a completely different league as a project base compared with a million-kilometre haulage vehicle.

This vehicle is sold for repair or spares. The brakes are completely absent, and the brake fluid reservoir was found to be empty. The engine runs faultlessly. It has been started using an electric fuel pump and a separate petrol can, neither of which is included in the sale. The vehicle was moved a few metres at the same time, so the drivetrain and clutch are in working order. The equipment and systems have not been tested, and it is highly likely that not all faults were identified during the inspection. We recommend studying the photos carefully; more thorough examinations can be carried out on site by separate arrangement.
