For some reason, the model year is 1989, although the round-headlamp models apparently ended earlier. Perhaps it was used as a chassis for a few years before being converted into a recovery truck? It has always been a recovery truck and began its career in Sweden.

The truck has 10- and 30-tonne winches, and a boom with two extensions—plenty of reach! Heavy-vehicle wheel forks, a Teleradio remote control and basic forks are included (not all of them; there is currently twice the usual quantity). A towing boom and low and high sleeves for the forks are also included. The large cabinets, tank, batteries and air reservoirs have been moved into the boom shaft to provide as much cabinet space as possible on both sides. The tool boards and cabinets remain with the truck.

PLEASE NOTE! The so-called VDZ system, i.e. front mounting brackets, is included. Without these, you can hardly tow any 2000s lorries in practice. Brackets for Volvo, Scania, Sisu, Renault, DAF, Mercedes and VDL are included, with several types for Volvo. Their purchase price alone is over €10,000, so please bear this in mind when bidding.

The truck was sandblasted and painted a couple of years ago and is still fairly tidy. Onspot automatic snow chains are also available and can be included; they have not been fitted to the truck while in our possession.

Defects and other observations

The support-leg cylinders are seeping. The inspector did not comment on this, but they should be dealt with at some point, as leaks generally do not decrease over time.

The truck is old, with paint bubbling under the cab corners and minor rust damage.

This is a 35-year-old heavy recovery truck, so there will certainly be areas requiring repair. The silencer leaks slightly. The truck has air conditioning, but the compressor mounting must be repaired if it is to work. The dashboard warning light for a clogged air filter is illuminated, and the rev counter sometimes gives incorrect readings.
