Defects and other observations

Known faults and deficiencies:

  • The steering rack is leaking oil from the right-hand side.

  • The parking rings, i.e. the angel eyes in the front lights, are not working.

  • One of the front fog lights shows a fault.

  • The manual mode of the gearbox does not work. Apparently, the microswitch in the selector unit is faulty; this has not been investigated further. The D and DS positions work faultlessly.

  • The torque converter and mechatronics seal kit were recently replaced.

  • The glass hatch and rear-window wiper do not work.

  • The wiring harness has a typical fault: the parking sensors malfunction and mostly do not work.

  • The air-conditioning compressor makes a slight whining noise, but the air conditioning works. The air conditioning was also recently recharged.

  • The bodywork is generally in good condition, apart from the tailgate, which has early signs of rust.

  • There are minor scratches on the right rear door, shown in the listing photos.

  • The rocker cover gasket is seeping on the exhaust-manifold side.

  • The car occasionally gives a single jolt when cruising at a steady speed.
