Defects and other observations

With minor play. The engine fault light has been on for a couple of years. I ordered a new alternator as the charging output had apparently dropped to 24.8 A.

The glow plug only works in freezing conditions—whether this is a fault or a feature is unclear. All oils were changed and the diesel tank cleaned last summer. The windscreen wiper does not switch off. I removed the arm. The heater fan only works on the warm setting. The panel is still at the repair shop. A new one costs €800. Come and inspect and try it, so you do not have to buy a pig in a poke.
