Known faults: a yellow fault light comes on during engine braking, O2 sensor replaced but this did not fix it. The code disappears when cleared with a reader. Present for approx. 3 years. Does not affect driving.

  • Windows rise slowly, especially in freezing temperatures.

  • The “cover” is missing from the trailer socket.

  • Service book included. Entries mainly from the previous owner. Oil services carried out by me (5 years), once a year at approx. 10,000 km intervals. Gearbox, transfer case and differential oils changed once.

  • Wear parts replaced as needed, including shock absorbers and rear lower control arms (known issue).

  • Engine head replaced (timing chain failure); new timing system fitted. Clutch disc and slave cylinder replaced.

  • Good points.

  • Chassis in good condition, stable to drive. No knocks or rattles.

  • Four-wheel drive works and has always worked well.

  • New summer tyres in spring (one wheel centre cap missing). Winter tyres have plenty of tread and are on their own rims.

  • Front brake discs and pads are reserved and will be replaced (slight vibration).

  • A very good everyday car, and the four-wheel drive is the same as in the X-Trail; these apparently have no known issues.
