Skoda Octavia Estate 1.6 * MOT valid for one year *, 2006, Espoo

From the road straight to auction: an Octavia for its next owner!

This is a Finnish-market car and overall it seemed like a decent everyday vehicle. On a short test drive, the car felt quite good considering its mileage. A slight crunch can be heard when starting the engine, but otherwise it ran smoothly, the power delivery was normal and no unusual noises were heard. The gearbox worked as it should, the steering wheel stayed straight and the car did not wander.

Looking through the service book, we noticed that the car has been well serviced over the years. A major plus is that the timing chain kit was replaced in 2019 at approximately 196,000 km, which will certainly be welcome news to many buyers of a car this age.

However, the body is no longer new and there is rust in various areas. There is also minor lacquer damage on the front bumper. The largest marks are shown in the gallery.

Two sets of wheels are included. The winter tyres have plenty of tread remaining and, although the studs are slightly worn down, they are still usable. The summer tyres are in good condition and should last a long time without an immediate trip to the tyre shop.

In terms of its mechanics, the car left a rather positive impression. It has just passed its MOT and also has a tow bar, making it a perfectly decent everyday car for its next owner.

• Engine block heater + interior socket

• Tow bar

• Climatronic automatic air conditioning

• Headlamp washers

Happy bidding!
