An original-condition collector’s rarity; only just over 2,000 of these Mercedes estates were made worldwide with this drivetrain.

Its value will not be falling—in fact, quite the opposite!

Passed its MOT in September with a clean sheet.

The engine is a 4.2-litre V8 M119, one of Mercedes’ most reliable engines.

The drivetrain works perfectly throughout, the automatic gearbox shifts smoothly, the engine runs beautifully and all the power is definitely still there. A very agile family estate.

Before me, the car had been with the same family for over 20 years, and they also imported it from Germany in 2004.

The car’s history is complete and the mileage is genuine. It has not been driven in Finnish winters.

The car is incredibly comfortable to drive and certainly holds its own against newer cars. A very stable, smooth ride with plenty of power. Comfortable travelling! Fuel consumption is not excessive on the motorway either, approx. 8 l/100 km.

The car has three keys: two standard remote-control keys and the original flip-key remote.

The car can be registered as a museum vehicle in just over a year, in January 2028, and I believe it should qualify after polishing the headlamp lenses.

The air-conditioning condenser and drier were replaced before the MOT, and the system was tested and recharged.

All equipment works, except the sunroof sliding mechanism, which appears to be jammed and has not been investigated. (The tilt function works.)

The car has been very well preserved for its age, especially for a W210. Only a few small rust spots on the body. There is also a small dent in the front passenger-side wing (the paint is intact). Otherwise, it is a tidy car. The interior is hardly any less impressive than a new one.

The car has never been welded, and the MOT inspector praised its condition.

The car comes with the friction tyres shown in the pictures, mounted on Mercedes alloys; they are in acceptable condition.

A basic service is due: oil and filters.

The car is slightly dirty in the pictures.
