Opel Combo, 2019, Vaasa

Opel Combo Cargo XL 1.5 Diesel 2019 – a tidy workhorse with a small project!

Here is a long-wheelbase Combo Cargo XL, tidy inside and out and ready for work. This is not a worn-out veteran of building sites, but a smart-looking work van with plenty of useful life left in the right hands.

The vehicle is registered as a van and offers a long load space and practical sliding side doors for work or leisure use. Its MOT is not due for another 2 months and 20 days, so there is no need to queue at the test centre tomorrow.

In the interests of honesty, the vehicle’s main points to note are:

• AdBlue has been bypassed

• The clutch needs replacing

• There is a leak in either the master or slave cylinder

• Diagnostic reports are included with the vehicle

On the positive side, the next owner will not have to guess where the fault lies, as the investigation has already been started.

It has a good range of equipment for a work van:

• Navigation system with colour display

• Bluetooth hands-free

• Cruise control and speed limiter

• Front and rear parking sensors

• Driver’s lumbar support

• Heated driver’s and passenger’s seats

• Air conditioning

• Heated windscreen

• Remote-controlled auxiliary heater

• Sliding door on the right-hand side

• Tow bar

• Wi-Fi ready

• Versatile storage compartments in the cab

The 102 hp 1.5 diesel is known as an economical travelling companion, while the 1,000 kg payload shows that the Combo was not designed merely for trips to fetch a coffee machine.

This Opel is a bit like a good employee just before their holiday: tidy, conscientious and otherwise ready for work, but with one issue still to sort out. Once the clutch-related problem is resolved, there is another long list of kilometres and working days ahead.

If you are looking for a van requiring a little thought and hands-on work, this could be the sensible buy of the auction. It looks exactly as a work van should, and the fault is unusually honestly known. 🚚🔧💪
