The finest from the collection: a completely original, two-barrelled howdah-type percussion pistol, from around 1850.

Genuine; no purchase permit required.

Museum quality, as shown—uniquely magnificent!!!!!!

Muzzle-loading!!

Fired very little!!

Length approximately 36 cm and calibre approximately 15 mm.

Works well and is probably shootable, at least after basic servicing and lubrication!!

Magnificent Damascus patterning on the barrels, with the finest possible pattern and striping!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful engravings!!

Unrestored, not filed, polished or even opened for ages; Belgian marks beneath the barrels!

Shell-flap compartment at the end of the grip!

Even the ramrod is original!!!!

Some old knocks and repaired dry cracks in the wood, but it is intact, fine and in working order—and you do not see ones like this for sale!!!!

Empty silver monogram plate on the grip; have it engraved as a 50th-birthday gift for someone interested in firearms—it is guaranteed to be the best gift of all!

An officer’s weapon or similar, perhaps a baron’s weapon.... Numbering on the wood, possibly an army inventory number or museum collection number, etc.

Original pistol, not something made from a shotgun!!

A fine and handsome valuable firearm with magnificent barrels!!
