Considering the mileage, the car made a very positive impression. It felt normal and solid to drive, and on the test drive there were no signs pointing to any major technical issue. If the odometer reading were concealed, the car’s overall appearance and driving feel would not suggest that it is a nearly 300,000 km example.

The bodywork and overall appearance are in decent condition for its age and mileage. On the test drive, there were no extra rattles or clunks, the gears engaged smoothly, and the clutch did not feel like it was slipping. The car drove normally and everything seemed to work as it should.

The car was also driven to us for about 300 km without any issues, and it came directly from the previous owner’s normal daily use.

According to the previous owner, the engine warning light occasionally comes on. The fault codes have referred to the EGR system and the fault code P253F / ENG OIL DILUTION. This code indicates that the engine oil condition has deteriorated or that the oil has been diluted with fuel. Some fuel can get into the engine oil due to a clogged DPF and repeated regenerations. In some cases, a forced DPF burn-off may help.

However, when the warning light has come on, the car has continued to operate normally and has not gone into a fault mode or ''limp mode''. The exact cause has not been investigated.

The oil and oil filter should in any case be changed soon.

Overall, the car felt much better than its mileage would suggest, both in driving behaviour and general condition. A reasonably priced daily car for someone who understands that a car of this age and mileage may need work, but is otherwise looking for a tidy-looking example that drives normally.
