Direct from use to auction: a Finnish-market Evoque!

On a short test drive, it would have been hard to guess that the warning light was on in the dashboard. The car drove exactly as it should, pulled straight and the steering wheel stayed centred. The engine ran smoothly and no unusual noises were heard during the test drive. The transmission shifted nicely, the chassis felt suitably firm and there were no unwanted knocks or rattles. The centre display and the equipment tested during the drive worked normally. On a cold start as well, nothing stood out to suggest any major concerns, and the engine ran smoothly. The bodywork of the Evoque left a tidy impression.

There is minor/normal stone chipping at the front, which is unavoidable on a car of this age used on Finnish roads, but no larger impacts or obvious marks were noticed. Overall, the car appeared to have been very well cared for.

The car is being auctioned because of the engine warning light. The warning light is related to the timing chain, which is why the car has been put up for auction and the matter has not been investigated further. The chain has recently been replaced at SCC, and documents for this can also be found in the gallery. Images of the fault codes are attached to the listing.

The summer tyres have about 3-4 mm tread remaining and the studless winter tyres about 6-7 mm. The service history is partial, so please review the photos carefully. All in all, the Evoque otherwise seemed like a very solid package, but because of the engine warning light it is now being sold for the next owner to inspect. If the warning light is ignored, the car on the test drive did not really give any signs of more serious issues.
