Mazda CX-5 2014 – 2.2 Diesel 4WD Automatic – ENGINE FAULT

For sale is a 2014 Mazda CX-5, equipped with a 2.2-litre diesel engine, automatic transmission and four-wheel drive (4WD).

The car has an ENGINE FAULT and is sold FOR REPAIR.

This is a good project car for a mechanic, hobbyist or anyone with the means to repair it themselves. It is also suitable as a donor car for parts.

Based on the test results, injector no. 4 had an injection quantity and blow-by at full load of 0 mm³/H.

The sleeves of all injectors (1–4) have widened.

Recommendation: All four injectors are recommended for replacement. One injector is completely broken, and the other three also carry the risk of starting to leak exhaust gas very quickly if reused.

During the work, the valve cover and oil pan were removed. It was then found that the engine is badly worn both in the top end and the bottom end.

For this reason, the engine is currently partly dismantled in the vehicle, and no new parts have been installed.

The gearbox was replaced in 2025 at 191,000 km.
