Proper four-wheel drive! Great ride. The engine pulls really well, the gearbox changes crisply. No warning lights. No known faults. No fault messages on the trip computer. Both sets of tyres on original alloy wheels with plenty of tread. Good studded tyres for winter. You’d struggle to find better!

During our more than 20 years in the trade, we’ve seen all kinds of S-Classes. Even Mercedes people are amazed by this one’s condition. Even the seats look as if they’ve hardly been sat in. The steering wheel buttons look almost like new too. There’s no wear or cracking in the wood trim either, as is often the case. There are photos; we’ve taken plenty so you can see what you’re bidding on. It’s been ages since we last came across something this lively and good to drive... It has high mileage, but it has also been heavily serviced and cherished. Two filled service books. The body has the usual stone chips on the nose, early rust starting inside the rear arches, and light parking scuffs on the rear corner on the driver’s side which a professional could probably polish the bumper to near-perfect. Rust has not been allowed to attack this example. The electric adjustments for all seats seemed to work too: forward, back, up, down, tilt, headrest - all electric. The seat heating and rear blind are electric too and work flawlessly. The panoramic roof also works without issue, up - down - back - and forward. Vanity mirror lights are working. The radio works, as do the blower speeds, cruise control works, the trip computer tells you everything you need and it’s economical. I took it with the tank a quarter down from full for the test drive, range almost 1,000 km! Now it’s been test-driven. It’s a pleasure. Many people have come to admire the car’s condition. Truly, this 19-year-old S-Class Mercedes is in such fine condition that if you’re looking for something like this, here it is. And even if you weren’t looking - now is the time to buy. Cars like this don’t come up every day anymore. It hasn’t been smoked in, and there were probably seat covers on the seats because they’re in such great condition. The air suspension is fitted but doesn’t sink overnight or even after the second or third night, so it’s in good shape and works normally, adjusting automatically. The engine bay is tidy and doesn’t mark its territory on the workshop floor. Incredibly, we found no faults....And what’s strange is that the car has still covered almost half a million kilometres! THE STAR OF THE SHOW is certainly among the best of the best!
