Authentic Cobra with a supercharger, likely with all the options available at the time, and with a production run of only 5,007 units, making it classic material for the more dedicated detailer.

- remote central locking

- radio/cassette/CD player (they have never been connected by me, so not tested)

- remote boot opening

- alarm, etc.

A lot has also been done over the years, including the engine rebuilt from bottom end to top end in 2014, 210 cc heads with enough flow and the entire valvetrain upgraded. The previous owner used it on a dyno (photo) and clocked a quarter-mile time of 12.5 s.

Fuel consumption in normal driving is about the same as a standard GT, but it can go when needed :)

It has been used by me for a couple of summers as a daily car and is currently in daily use. It has worked well, but as the car is already old, that is unfortunately starting to show here and there; see the list below...

- clear coat damage on the bumpers (photos), otherwise the body is straight and the paint is decent for its age, and I have not come across any rust

- the seats are dry and cracked, especially the driver's seat (photo)

- driver's seat is the orthopedic version, but the height adjustment gear spins freely and the seat has stayed in the rearmost position; the gear is probably easy to replace if you remove the seat

- the headlining is slightly loose at the rear, also due to the California sun, but it is not actually hanging down, so that has not bothered me either

- it blows the airbag fuse and lights the airbag warning light; it has done that for a long time, and according to the previous owner it points to a faulty clock spring, which is included as well, though I have not got around to changing it myself

- the wheel alignment could do with adjustment

- at the previous inspection it failed on emissions, and the cause turned out to be a faulty temperature sensor, which has now been replaced with a Transit unit because that was available at Motonet and fitted the thread. For this reason the fan no longer starts automatically from the car's control and has been replaced with a switch, so a correct temperature sensor is needed for it to work as intended

- a larger intercooler has been fitted at the front, but the pipework is still unfinished

- there is a slight oil leak between the valve covers; new gaskets are included, already bought last spring, but I have not changed them either because the leak is quite minor / during the driving season the oil level drops from the upper mark on the dipstick to the lower mark

- an oil change is probably due anyway

No thorough inspection has been carried out on the vehicle, so there may be other minor issues, but nothing that affects use; the car is driven daily.
