Chevrolet Camaro, 1971, Liperi

Rebuilt RACE-style ’71 Camaro for a new owner. Imported from the USA in 2015 and rebuilt over 7–8 years.

Custom solutions include RS lights added to the front, seams removed from the front end, seamlessly integrated rear spoiler, and a superb paint finish.

Almost everything is new or refurbished:

- Body restored, sandblasted and welded. Many new sheet metal parts (front end, rear end, bonnet, window frames, floor, etc.)

- 30L Temadur + Temacoat underneath. Professionally painted topcoat and clearcoat with gold flakes

- New electrics, gauges, dashboard, all lights, cabin blower (no heater/AC)

- New FK leather folding seats, floor mats, pedals, shifter, door cards

- New front and rear windows (side windows original)

- Battery moved to the boot, boot separately protected with underbody coating

- Added rear shocks, renewed front shocks/springs and all brakes, including lines, chassis mounts and bushes, all new

- Frame connectors, stiff yet still comfortable

- Also new all auxiliaries; radiator, brake master cylinder, ignition components (MSD AL6-2), fuel hoses, tank + pump, washer system, etc.

Engine fully built from new parts, only the original 4-bolt block retained:

- Scat Performance 383 stroker kit, with forged pistons (up to 650 hp)

- Aluminium heads 60cc/200cc

- Cam, pushrods, lifters, rockers, etc.

- Air Gap intake, 750 cfm Quickfuel carburettor

- 500 hp/675 Nm = 98 octane petrol, CR = ~10.5:1. Dyno-tuned by Santala Racing

- TH200-4R gearbox, strengthened for 600 hp+, new propshaft and U-joints

- Torque converter modified by a professional, 2,200 rpm stall

- New Detroit Truetrac limited-slip differential with 4.1 ratio.

- Rear now has air shocks one year old and the fill valve in the boot.

The car has been driven approx. 2,500 km since completion and there is no time for the hobby, so it is being sold on.

This is a hobby car and enthusiasts know how much time and money has gone into restoring one like this. New rear window chrome trims are still waiting in packaging for installation.
