Qashqai with gearbox fault, low mileage, sold for repair!


The transmission is broken, and the car is not roadworthy!


We took the car in part exchange from the previous owner with a gearbox fault, but it was still driveable. The driver drove the car for just under 100 km, after which it lost power and the transmission stopped working. The engine warning light also came on. The car was towed by recovery truck to Lappeenranta Saka to wait for its next owner through auction!


The car is tidy inside and out, in condition consistent with the mileage. It starts normally and sounds normal, but the engine warning light is on. The transmission does engage the gears, but the car does not move at all. This is a common fault in Nissan Xtronic transmissions. Fortunately, used gearboxes for these are readily available, and they can probably be repaired too.


Both sets of tyres are road legal, and the service book is up to date and pictured in the listing.


With similar mileage, the asking price as a dealer car would be about €9,000 in working order

  • the engine warning light came on when the car lost power due to the transmission

  • transmission is broken, the car is not roadworthy even though it starts

  • the car must be collected by tow truck or trailer!
