Audi A6 Avant 2.0 TFSI multitronic, 2009, Lappeenranta

Hello everyone.

This time, whoever bids the most gets to take home a fine big Audi.

This is an estate-bodied A6 from 2009. A 2-litre turbo petrol with automatic transmission.

That model is known for its oil consumption, but this car has already had the so-called piston job done, so it should no longer use oil. Receipts for that repair are of course still available.

Visually the car is not crumpled, and it has never even been crashed, but this brand really does struggle with rust. This one also has rust spots here and there around the car, especially at the rear. Of course, for a car of this age that is mainly a cosmetic issue. These are workhorses, not show cars. And as you can see, the old joke about rusty French cars has long since moved to Bratwurst country. :)

I also took it for inspection, hoping to get a fresh sticker, but it did not pass. The reason was the rear right brake hose, which had deteriorated enough to cause a fail. That is not a major job to replace. There was also an advisory for an oil leak, and the front windscreen was also noted by the inspector as worn. The latter two are advisories, so you will get the sticker by replacing the brake hose.

As it stands, the car is roadworthy until 1.11.2026, so there is plenty of time to sort it out. That is why I had to list it as sold for repair, even though it is not a big service job.

Otherwise, the car drives excellently: no extra noises, the transmission shifts very smoothly and comfortably, and the engine still has its power. Everything is in order, quiet and pleasant to drive.

The interior seems fairly clean; of course there is some dirt on the seats, but I can still sit there in my Sunday best. The main thing is that it has not been smoked in and no animals have been carried in it. All equipment seemed to work.

The summer tyres are still usable, and the studded tyres are just about, barely and only just, acceptable too. The tread is fine, but a few studs seem to have fallen out. I would still drive it through the coming winter on those, as I am not particularly fussy.

So if you are not too fussy about the looks but want a good daily driver at a suitable price, bid away.

There are plenty of photos and a couple of videos, so those should tell you enough about the car. It is parked at the back of the yard in the trade-in row, so you are welcome to come and see it and try it out at Lappeenrannan Auto-Kilta. You can also see it from the outside in the evening.
