The vehicle was on a customer test ride, during which it briefly cut out and has since not accepted charging anymore. However, the NIU does start occasionally and can be ridden normally when it starts.

The fault has not been diagnosed, so the cause or repair cost is not known. Before the fault, it was driven on a 40 km test ride, during which it performed well.

Defects and other observations

During a short test ride, we made the following observations

  • This electric moped no longer accepts charging and otherwise seems to be malfunctioning as well. It cannot be charged, and the power sometimes switches on and sometimes is difficult to switch on. However, when the power is on, the vehicle works normally again and can be ridden. Before this fault, the vehicle worked like new and was driven on a 40 km test ride. The fault appeared suddenly when the customer was test-riding the NIU. The fault has not been diagnosed and the location of the fault is unknown.

The vehicle has not undergone a technical condition inspection and the functionality of all equipment has not been tested.

The vehicle can be inspected in more detail and test ridden in Petikko, Vantaa.
