Volvo XC90, 2003, Lapua

For sale: Volvo XC90 D5 AWD 2003 – a spacious four-wheel drive.

A reasonably presentable and usable XC90 for its age. The D5 diesel engine, automatic transmission and four-wheel drive make this a good car for everyday use, towing or winter driving.

The car has been serviced and the known faults and repair needs are:

- Fault in the turbo vacuum control. At the workshop the issue was traced to the vacuum regulator/control valve, which does not produce enough vacuum and appears to be leaking. Because of this, power drops off during harder acceleration.

- Intermittent electrical fault in the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster mostly does not work, but may briefly display correctly at times.

- Crack in the windscreen on the driver's side. (picture)

- The driver's door electric window does not work.

- Rear shock absorbers are worn out and need replacing.

- The central locking works normally from the driver's door with one key. (no second key)

- There is an extra noise while driving, the exact source of which has not been determined. The sound seems to come from the rear/rear axle area, but no definite fault diagnosis has been made.

The car is sold taking these faults and repair needs into account. Known issues are disclosed openly, so the next owner knows what needs attention.

Mileage: 548,370 km (this was the last reading seen on the instrument cluster, and a few tens more have been added since then)

Inspection: 23/09/2026, so it is due.
