Hyundai IONIQ Plug-in DCT Comfort *really tidy and good*, 2019, Lappeenranta

Another truly excellent auction item has arrived.

This is a 2019 Hyundai Ioniq Plug-In hybrid. A very popular and good car.

First of all, let's say that the battery in this car is in excellent condition, so that's not why it is up for auction. There are test results for the battery, etc., and of course the 8-year battery warranty is still valid, so there is nothing to worry about there.

In appearance the car is in excellent condition, with barely any signs of use visible. The only small thing is that the cover behind the rear door handle is missing; it doesn't cost much and doesn't need a professional to fit it.

Both sets of tyres are practically as new and on alloy wheels. The winter tyres are studded.

On the road the car is absolutely perfect; there is nothing to complain about in its driving characteristics. The brakes, gears, engine, etc. all work exactly as they should.

The interior is exceptionally clean and tidy, nothing is coming loose and there is practically no dirt or similar. It has also not been smoked in, nor has it carried animals. That's good.

This is a Finnish car and this example has been fully serviced, and always at an authorised dealer. All service receipts are pictured in the photos.

Nor do you need to visit the inspection station any time soon; the next inspection is not due until September 2027, so there is over a year of driving time left.

The problem and reason why this was decided to be auctioned is that the radio/navigation unit does not always wake up, meaning the screen stays dark.

As you can see from the attached videos, in one video filmed in the evening the radio is silent and will not start no matter what you do. In the other video, filmed the following morning, the radio works perfectly and we could not get the fault to appear despite trying hard.

The previous owner has also replaced the radio/navigation module, so the unit itself is brand new, but clearly the fault was not in the radio itself. The fault also cannot be very serious because the unit usually works perfectly. Our driver picked up this car from Askola, several hundred kilometres away, and it worked normally throughout that journey too. So when the radio wakes up, it works even if you drive to Enontekiö non-stop, but it may be that when the car is started several times a day it does not wake up on every occasion.

The problem itself is not very big, but it is clear that we cannot normally sell this as it is, so let's now try to find the person who won't be bothered by the radio occasionally cutting out. The car itself is really quite perfect: spacious, good-looking, exceptionally economical, reliable and in good working order. You can see plenty of people driving around with headphones on anyway. :)

So here we have a vehicle worth bidding on. And if you were even slightly willing to look into the issue, you could get a completely perfect car very affordably. A car with which you can drive your daily commute almost for free, for example.

The car has been photographed extensively and there are also a couple of videos, so its excellent condition will surely come across on your side of the screen as well. Of course, you are also welcome to come and see and try it yourself at Auto-Kilta in Lappeenranta, and it is at the back of the trade-in row there, so it can also be seen from the outside in the evening.

Let's take a conscious risk and put the car up for auction with a starting price of one hundred euros, and there is no reserve price, so when the auction ends the highest bidder will genuinely collect this car. A proper auction.
