It is suitable for welding various AlMg, AlMgSi and AlZnMg alloys.
The strength of the weld metal, and especially the shear strength in fillet welds, is relatively high.
If, when welding AlMg alloys (5000 series), the Mg content of the weld metal after dilution exceeds 3% and the operating temperature exceeds 65oC, the weld metal becomes susceptible to stress corrosion.
Suitable for anodising.
Not heat-treatable.
