Defects and other observations

During the test drive we observed the following:


  • Engine warning light is on / oil warning light is on. The car therefore consumes oil

  • Scratches on the front bumper as shown in the photos.

  • Workshop note about the car:


    There is a fault code for boost pressure regulation being too low, and yesterday when driven to start, the boost pressure did not reach the specified value at any point. Today the boost pressure reached the specified value and worked normally. We also noticed that the diesel particulate filter is quite clogged at the moment; there is no fault code for this yet, but the oil consumption is probably clogging it. The customer had not added more oil the previous time, and now 1 litre of oil was added again. It may be that during the oil consumption measurement the particulate filter will clog enough that it will not be possible to drive the full 1000 km.

  • The engine consumes a lot of oil (4 L/1000 km), which is why the particulate filter is clogged

  • Smokes heavily when running (blue smoke)
