Arctic Hot Tub! No more drinks warmed in water

Who would want to sip refreshments warmed in the hot tub? No one! That is why the hot tub designers at Hyvän Kaupan Paikka have come up with integrated ledges with drink holders for Arctic Hot Tub. The ledge is not only a waiting lounge for hot tub beers, ciders, lemonades and cocktails, but you can also place mood candles and lanterns on it. The ledge also works excellently for children’s hot tub activities, as swimming goggles and toys can be placed there during breaks from diving games. Its versatility is limited only by imagination, so the ledge is truly multifunctional. You could even place earrings or a smart watch in the openings meant for drinks if you are unsure about water resistance. Although time should not be tracked while bathing, it is handy to glance at the time on the phone resting on the ledge. The eight drink recesses are enough for a larger group of bathers too.

Innovative design – square-oval shape

We decided to combine two beautiful design languages into one and created the square-oval shape for Arctic Hot Tub. The design speaks both practicality and beauty. The shape makes the ledges possible and adds extra structure to the traditional round hot tub form. Arctic Hot Tub fits excellently with Finnish straight-backed resolve. However, the corners have been rounded off from the Finnish ideal of hard work and ingenuity, because no one needs to tense up in a hot tub. Although the name is arctic, we recommend heating the water well before stepping in.

The easy-to-use, versatile Step In step

You would not think that one plastic step could be useful for many things, but it really can. We have designed the Step In step, which makes entering the pool easier, specifically for Arctic Hot Tub. Naturally, the step also makes it easier to get out, but it can also serve as a seat for a smaller child when otherwise their head would sink below the seat. In use we have also found that the step works well as an armrest, making Arctic Hot Tub a handy water recliner. The Step In solution makes Arctic Hot Tub a hot tub for all ages and makes bathing easier for people with reduced mobility. In the arctic conditions of the Finnish winter, tired limbs are easier to lower into the gently warm water thanks to Arctic’s Step In step.

Which colour shall we choose?

Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s relaxed approach is also reflected in the hot tub selection. From us you can get hot tubs for all kinds of needs and tastes. You can get the Arctic Hot Tub dressed to suit your own taste. You can choose the colour of the plastic basin from five different options and consider the placement of the Step In step in relation to the stove. And that is not all. You can also choose the outer cladding material from three options and pick the cover colour between black and grey. The basin colour range draws inspiration from nature, including sea blue and lichen grey. All shades are compatible and work well together.

Arctic conditions – effective insulation

To make Arctic Hot Tub worthy of its name, we wrap the basin in proper insulation! Under the plastic basin there is 44 cm of EPS insulation, which keeps frost at bay and the bath water hot even in colder winter weather. We have also added plenty of thermoplastic to the sides of the basin so the edges are insulated too. This highly insulated hot tub retains heat so effectively that a well-covered Arctic Hot Tub is still warm the next day. For the chilliest cold-sensitive bathers, we recommend burning one firebox full for next day’s water play, but the hot tub is ready for bathing in an instant. Fire up the stove, change clothes, wash up, prepare the hot tub drinks and then off you go bathing.

Gentle warmth, efficiently

The efficient Arctic marine aluminium stove heats the water to bathing temperature in a couple of hours. The 35 kW stove, full of power, is made of durable marine aluminium and conducts heat well. The stove is fitted with a beautiful glass door so the wood-fired hot tub creates a lovely glow and you do not need to open the door to check the fire.

The marine aluminium stoves included in Hyvän Kaupan Paikka’s hot tub package are made in Finland. This high-output stove is not even afraid of seawater, as it handles both fresh and salt water. Carefully considered material details make the stove a blazing hot top product. The stove package includes two metres of flue pipe and a rain cap, but if you want more pipe, a chimney guard or a spark guard, see the accessories list.

Remember that chlorine is not recommended with marine aluminium, as chlorine starts to oxidise the marine aluminium. We recommend changing the water often enough and using active oxygen tablets (see accessories list). Active oxygen oxidises the water for about a day, after which the water can also be used for watering, as it contains no additional chemicals and is safer for children too. Water without oxygen can easily form a slimy layer on the edges of the bathing pool, but active oxygen prevents this process.

An easy-care plastic basin

The uniquely designed Arctic Hot Tub basin, carefully engineered for seating comfort, is made of moulded Jaxal polyethylene plastic. This plastic has memory, meaning it wants to keep the shape it was cast into. The easy-care, worry-free plastic basin stands up to time excellently, which is why we are confident enough to offer a ten-year warranty.

Because the plastic basin has no moulded seams, dirt cannot gather in special places. However, remember to keep the basin surfaces clean when changing the water. This is easy to do with normal detergents. More exacting users may occasionally clean the basin more vigorously, i.e. disinfect it, but remember to handle wastewater properly.
