Saab 9-5, 1999, Oulu

A tidy Saab 9-5 Griffin for its age. The car is very pleasant to drive and offers Saab's familiar comfort and quality feel.

The car has now been standing under cover since winter, so the battery may at least need attention. It is also very dusty at the moment. Of course, the old Saab may have developed something else as well during that time. It did start with a booster on 3 July at 07:03, but for a cheap old car like this we can't promise anything more 🤣 And there is no warranty on its operation. It previously did something in the winter, that when warm it would not start until it had cooled down; the crankshaft position sensor was replaced, but the car was not driven any further than back under cover, so there is no certainty whether the fault was fixed, and the buyer must be aware of this. It may be perfectly OK, or it may still need investigation.

It has covered a lot of kilometres, but the condition and driving feel do not really reveal that.

The car was originally imported from Italy, which can be seen in the equipment – this example has the rarer front seat ventilation (instead of seat heaters).

Also equipped with, among others:

- Harman Kardon audio system

- Leather interior

- Electrically adjustable seats

The car has been well maintained already during its time in Italy.

Externally the overall impression is tidy for its age. There is a little surface rust visible in the wheel arches. The car was written off last spring due to vandalism (scratching), but the most visible marks have been repaired. With a little extra finishing it could be even better, but as it stands it is fully usable.

Sold at this price with one set of tyres fitted (winter tyres).

Notes:

- The SID warns about the front lights (probably the control relay) and from time to time about the rear lights, but the lights still seem to work.

- Mirror adjustment does not work

Crankshaft position sensor just replaced.

A well-equipped and comfortable Saab here at a reasonable price as a daily driver or hobby car – rarely offered at this trim level.
