I bought the car as a parts car, but it turned out to be too good to dismantle. So I decided to freshen it up to inspection-ready condition, and now it would be available to someone who needs it more.


The car is currently serving as a second car. I have now driven it about 500 km and it seems to run very well. However, there are a few faults, listed below.


Recently renewed:

- Multi-rib belt

- Left rear lower control arm

- New battery

- 1 new glow plug

- Rear brake pads

- All brakes serviced

- Rear temperature sensor

- Engine oil, oil filter and air filter

- Metal charge pipe (the original plastic ones tend to burst)

- New particulate filter replaced within ~20,000 km


Other:

- Passed inspection with clean papers at the end of June 2026

- Two keys

- One set of good winter tyres on Subaru OEM alloy wheels

- Service book

- Body is straight; with a proper tidy-up it will be good

- Interior intact

- Cruise control

- Tow hitch

- Webasto heater (not tested by me, but it at least has power)

- Block heater


Faults in the car:

- Windscreen cracked at the bottom edge, not in the field of vision at all. Therefore it does not affect the inspection either.

- Air conditioning does not blow fully cold; a refrigerant service is probably due.

- Tailgate microswitch does not work

- The driver’s side valve cover seeps a little oil; I have not noticed any marks on the ground or any extra fumes.

- Remote central locking works only with the other key

- The car has only one set of summer tyres, and no winter tyres.
