2 vintage valve radios for decoration or repair – Celeston Stereo Cadet + SABA Wildbad 125, Imatra

Two fine old wooden‑cased valve radios sold together. Well suited for retro/vintage interior decoration, collecting or restoration projects.

The radios are:

Celeston Stereo Cadet
A model manufactured by the Finnish company Oy Helvar, estimated from the late 1950s. The model was produced around 1958.

SABA Wildbad 125
A German SABA valve radio from around 1960–1961.

Condition

Both have been briefly tested so that:

• internal lights in both units illuminate

• there is some hissing/static from the speakers of both units

• actual radio reception or other functions have not been tested in detail

• sold for repair, restoration or as decorative items

• no working condition is guaranteed

Externally both are attractive and retain an original appearance. The wooden cases show age‑related wear, scratches and marks, visible in the photos. The SABA is particularly striking as a large vintage tabletop radio.

Sold as pictured. Due to the age of electrical appliances, I recommend having the electrical condition checked before prolonged use.

Notes / defects / faults:
No faults were observed during the seller’s ordinary basic functionality check at the time of listing, unless otherwise stated in the item description.

The item is considered essentially operational. However, not all features, functions, connections or long‑term reliability have necessarily been tested in detail. Stated functionality means the device operated during the seller’s reasonable basic test. Any defects or faults known to the seller are stated in the description.

Condition assessment:
The general condition of a product sold used is always assessed relative to its age, usage history and comparable used items. Terms such as good, very good, tidy or excellent do not mean the item is new, unused, like new or entirely flawless.

Used items may, regardless of condition grading, show normal wear for their age and prior use such as scuffs, scratches, dents, dust, dirt, discoloration or other cosmetic signs of use and storage. Internal and latent defects:

If a defect appears, the buyer should notify the seller within a reasonable time and allow the seller to inspect the device before opening, repairing or altering it.

Only the items and accessories clearly listed in the description and shown in the pictures as belonging to the sale are included. Other background furniture, loose items, cables or accessories visible in the photos are not included unless specifically mentioned.

PICKUP:
Weekdays 09:00–15:00. Exact pickup time to be agreed if necessary. Buyers are asked to check at collection that the item and included accessories match the listing.

The buyer should inspect the shipment immediately upon receipt. Any externally visible transport damage must be reported promptly to the seller and the carrier. Document the packaging and damage with photographs before disposing of the packaging or using the item.

If the buyer suspects a defect that differs from the listing, they should contact the seller (Huutokaupat.com) before returning, opening, altering, repairing or disposing of the item. In business‑to‑consumer sales the seller is primarily responsible for investigating and legally compensating any defect.

Warranty is given only if explicitly stated in the item description. Lack of warranty does not remove the buyer’s statutory rights.
