Defects and other observations

During a short test drive we made the following observations:

  • The car has been to a workshop, which provided the following findings and cost estimates:
    Rear axle beam needs replacing = approx. €2,200
    A couple of new front lower control arms + outer left front drive joint replaced = approx. €550 including labour (the drive joint was completely dry of grease, and no fresh grease was visible on the control arms — the rubber had been damaged for some time)
    EGR unit (Pierburg) replaced = approx. €550
    In addition, it is likely the engine is already worn, as the owner has had to add oil and the EGR cooler shaft was seized — meaning the 2nd or 3rd cylinder may be oval due to EGR problems and the engine is consuming oil.

We have not carried out a technical inspection on the car and not all equipment has been tested. The car may have latent defects that were not detected during the test drive and inspection. The car can be test-driven and inspected in person. To ensure smooth handling, please arrange your visit in advance. Thank you!
