The device's operating principle is simple: once the chosen felling direction is decided and the required notch has been cut, the wedge is inserted into the saw cut and the trigger is pressed. The threaded rod driven by the power tool pushes the wedge, which moves between stainless steel lamellae, forward, opening the saw cut and causing the tree to fall in the desired direction.

The mechanical felling guide produces the force to fell trees precisely in the intended direction easily and without straining the faller. The safety distance must be twice the length of the tree to be felled. A single 4 Ah battery will fell dozens of trees.
