Faults and other observations

The inspection included a repair notice for windscreen replacement (crack) and an apparent leak from the oil sump gasket (visible in the photos).

Repairs must be completed by 5 June 2026; no re‑inspection required.

I enquired about a windscreen replacement — in Pori it costs about €350.

Recommended basic servicing: fluids, oils, belts etc.

The service book shows annual checks in 1999 and 2000 with odometer readings 13,000 km and 16,000 km.

There are four additional entries for engine oil and filter changes.

The second‑last entry on 6 April 2002 shows spark plugs changed, at 20,445 km.

The most recent recorded oil change was on 25 July 2003 at 22,067 km.

So oils were changed regularly in the past, but they are now old even though only about 7,500 km have been added since.

When returned to use in 2022 the odometer at inspection read 27,777 km.

Parts such as belts and filters are inexpensive (e.g. at Motonet) and an oil change only requires one litre, so costs are modest.

Brakes performed well in the test; after the test the right rear wheel was slightly stiff but should free up with some driving and light braking.

The tyres are old and will likely need replacing despite remaining tread.

The spare wheel is present; I removed it for the photos — the spare is likely original.

There is some fuel in the tank; it was probably filled in autumn 2024.

The alternator appears to have been replaced and its belt looks externally in good condition.

The battery has been changed at some point and seems to hold charge well.

The exhaust also appears new.

The underbody has been coated and the inspector specifically noted it was well done and the panels are solid.

The original radio requires a code after the battery was disconnected, but I have not found it.
