Opel Vectra Estate 1.8 16V 140 hp MTA5 Easytronic, 2006, Lappeenranta

Hello again to all bidders.

This time we’re putting up an automatic Vectra from 2006.

The car drives very well and is technically sound. I couldn’t find any faults: the bearings don’t play, there’s no knocking, vibration or jerking or any other vague issues. It was also inspected just a couple of weeks ago and the next inspection isn’t due until 2 June 2027.

The 1.8 petrol engine combined with the Easytronic is surprisingly economical, so running costs are low.

Cosmetically it has the typical patina of an older German car, mainly surface rust. These are only cosmetic; in a car like this they’re not a major issue — these are everyday cars, not showpieces. There is also a long impact mark on the right side; I tried to photograph everything.

This car has never been in an accident and it’s not an award winner; the previous owner had it for about nine years.

The interior is intact and, most importantly, everything works — the air conditioning definitely works and works well. There’s sand and dirt but a hoover and a wipe should remove it. This hasn’t been smoked in and, as far as I know, no animals have been in it. There’s plenty of space — the boot is genuinely large in this model.

Both sets of tyres are in excellent condition.

All service records are photographed: the early history is in the official service book and the rest is in a self-filled booklet. I think it has been reasonably well maintained.

There are plenty of photos as usual and a couple of videos so the car should come across well there too. Of course you’re welcome to come and view and test it at Lappeenrannan Auto-Kilta; it’s at the back of the used-car row so you can admire it from outside outside opening hours.

This is a good, large everyday car for a long time!
