ABOUT IONISATION:
Negative ions produced into indoor air cause light, positively charged airborne particles to clump together; the resulting larger, heavier particles fall out of the breathing zone quickly.

Negative ionisation also breaks down volatile organic compounds in the air that are harmful when inhaled. Toxic compounds produced by various microbes (microbial toxins), when aerosolised into indoor air, present a serious health hazard if they reach the lungs and bloodstream. Microbial toxins that remain attached to larger particles cause harm mainly via spores, which are the producers of these toxins.

The effectiveness of ozone (O3) and negative ionisation is based on high concentrations.

When a unit produces negative ions in addition to ozone, effectiveness is 5–10 times better compared with ozone alone, and high concentrations remove spores and odours effectively even from porous materials such as upholstery and bedding.

Fine particles in indoor air pose a serious health risk in homes and workplaces.

Harmful fine particles travel with inhaled air into the deep lung (alveoli) and from there into the bloodstream, causing serious health problems in addition to asthma and allergy.

    Ozonation and negative ionisation work especially effectively in a positively pressured building.

    Ozone and negative ionisation together form compounds that can effectively remove microbial spores and various odours, for example sewer gases, smoke smells, bacterial and mould toxins, and stubborn cooking and tobacco odours.
