The Aries heater is designed so that there is a little space around the heating elements (thanks to element holders), allowing hot air to release more easily into the sauna, which also speeds up heating of the sauna room. In addition, the element holders prevent the elements from touching each other and minimise bending and direct contact between the elements and the stones. The elements are low surface power type, which extends their lifespan because they are subjected to less stress during use. This open-frame heater has a wide and shallow body, so the sauna stones are easy to reach. Laying or removing stones is straightforward. The body can also be removed if necessary, which facilitates maintenance.

SAWO tower heaters’ steam properties are based on a large amount of stones. A tower heater produces very humid steam, so a lower temperature feels hotter on the skin. (Typically the sauna thermometer will then show about +60 °C.) Traditional electric heaters rely on air heated as it flows through the heater stones. Tower heaters differ in that the heater with its stones heats up and releases heat into the sauna room when steam is thrown.

Please note when renovating a sauna or choosing a heater for your sauna that wall materials such as brick, stone, log or glass require extra power from the heater, i.e. a higher kilowatt rating. For example, one (1) square metre of any of the above wall materials adds approximately one cubic metre to the calculated sauna volume.
