Time to pass on this practical Caravelle. Otherwise okay to drive but it sometimes vibrates under acceleration and at higher speeds. I haven't had time to investigate properly, but it could be the driveline or similar.


  • Drivetrain intact and it does not smoke.

  • Old taxi so the interior shows some wear, but surprisingly tidy when cleaned.

  • Body also shows signs of use: the rear bumper is cracked, paint is worn on the sills and there is surface rust in places.

  • Engine is a 2.5 TDI AXD; injectors have been overhauled at some point and it has a 6-speed manual gearbox. There may be some documentation for the clutch overhaul.

  • Turbo replaced

  • ABS light is on, wiring to a sensor is broken. I'll fix it if I have time.

  • Side sliding door does not work electrically.

  • Vibrates a little.

  • New summer tyres fitted on 8 June. No winter tyres.

  • MOT valid until 10 October 2026.

  • Bluetooth stereo and speakers were replaced at some point.

  • Crack in the windscreen

  • Power steering makes noise

  • The car is in daily use, covering approx. 100 km per day.
