The inspection raised a few repair recommendations, but you won’t need an engineering degree to fix them:

• Windscreen cracked: It gives the car character, but the office would prefer an intact screen.

• Handbrake needs a slight adjustment: With a Quattro you often use the throttle to rotate, but you should also be able to pull the lever.

• Exhaust joint leaking: Currently provides a sportier rumble, but a small seal will return it to a more civilised state.

A little work, an inspection pass and you’re ready for some spirited driving! A great winter car for sliding about yourself, for your father-in-law’s ice-fishing trips or for the family as a safe and hugely fun everyday vehicle.
