I have not tried to start it this year. Last year it was ridden for a couple of short trips. When it starts it’s a pleasant bike to ride — excellent on gravel roads and not bad on tarmac either.


Comes with a box of bits and a Haynes workshop manual.

Defects and other observations

The left mirror fell off during last summer’s rides.

The speedometer reads incorrectly

The battery may need replacing (I’m charging it now; we’ll see if it holds a charge)

The carburettor settings definitely need attention

The front fork seal is leaking and the fork gaiters need replacing.

It drips oil from somewhere.
