Suzuki with a great sound! Very good rear tyre, brand-new front tyre, clutch and brake fluids replaced, new stator, new voltage regulator, new pillion seat and rider's seat newly reupholstered. Engine oil and filter changed. Adjustable brake and clutch levers, "cross" handlebars, Dominator slip‑ons...

Due to a charging issue the magneto magnets were checked — all OK — and a new stator and voltage regulator were fitted, but this did not affect the charging voltage, so something unclear remains between the voltage regulator and the battery as it does not charge. After winter storage it seems to run rich, i.e. "coughing", noticeable when riding. I have 98E petrol in the tank and have never had problems with 98E in other bikes, so I don't know the cause; it may just need a good run to free things up...


I don't have a place or garage to work on it, so the Suzuki is better off moving on. The bike has been kept under cover at all times.
