Here’s a handy, very versatile trailer up for auction. Please check all photos :)

Goods travel comfortably under the cover on the trailer; at the shore remove the cover to make the boat, move the gear into the boat, put on the lifejackets and head out to the open water.

Covered rear trailer, tip bed, extra sideboards, covered boat, outboard motor and accessories — all included in this package.

The cover can be removed and flipped to form a small boat. The outboard is a 4 hp unit included in the sale, as are the accessories (anchor, paddle, bailer, buoyancy and rescue lifejackets).

Trailer details:

Finnish make Kärppä, manufactured in Nummela by VIHE.

Year 1988, commissioned 30 June 1988.

Chassis inspected and approx. 20 km test drive carried out.

Tyres old but in OK condition, good tread remaining, 12 in (≈30.5 cm).

Bearings play checked, OK.

Lights checked; bulbs and light connector replaced.

7-pin light connector (replaced)

Leaf springs and shock absorbers.

Tipping bed, tip mechanism.

Removable front and rear sideboards.

Bed external dimensions approx. 130 x 259 cm.

Basic sideboards height approx. 21 cm.

Extra sideboards height approx. 50 cm. Sturdy plywood.

Total sideboard height approx. 70 cm.

Extra sideboards fasten firmly to each other with side locks.

Cover details:

Brand VIHE, model boat deck cover.

External dimensions approx. 132 x 260 cm.

Maximum height approx. 70 cm.

Weight approx. 60 kg. Can be flipped and moved quite well by two people.

Removing the cover reveals the boat.

Dimensions 130 x 259 cm.

The boat has not been used on the water for a few years, but at least the cover has been watertight.

The centre seat board is missing; easy to make a new one yourself.

Catamaran-style hull, sturdy and wide bottom structure, does not tip easily.

No marina berth needed — you can place the covered trailer on its wheels when not using the boat.

Outboard motor details:

Brand and model: Crescent Marin 4 hp

Year unknown, but rather "retro"

Fuel tank integrated

Pull-start

1 cylinder, two-stroke engine

360°-rotatable, i.e. can also be used for reversing.

The engine needs servicing; it has not been used recently. It has served as a spare/auxiliary motor on a larger boat.

Compression is present and it coughs to life, but it will not keep running. It would likely need the fuel system cleaned and fresh fuel.

Used very little.
