Mercedes-Benz E250 Avantgarde – Well-equipped, stylish and well-driving example with modest mileage

We carried out a short test drive and the overall impression was very positive. This particular car also has relatively low mileage, which shows in the driving feel. The car feels stable on the road and does not pull to either side – neither under acceleration nor when braking. The suspension is quiet and we heard no unusual rattles or knocks during the test drive.

The engine and drivetrain operate as they should: power is intact and the gearbox shifts smoothly without jerking. No abnormal noises were detected. The air conditioning works faultlessly, as does the MB Comand system, and the reversing and parking sensors perform as expected. The sunroof mechanism operates normally.

Optional equipment includes a PA-controlled auxiliary heater that can also be operated by phone – unfortunately we were unable to test this. The car’s appearance has been updated with an all-black front grille; the original grille is included with the car.

The car has been with the same owner in Finland for several years, which provides good continuity in its service history. Note that this lot is offered at auction with a suspicion of emissions manipulation and a repair entry in a CarVertical report from Germany. The report does not provide conclusive evidence of a major accident history, but this should be considered when assessing the vehicle overall.

For full transparency, a few details should be mentioned: the steering wheel is slightly off-centre when driving straight, which may be corrected by adjusting the tracking angles. The rear passenger (driver’s side) seatbelt moves stiffly, and the exterior handle on the front passenger door does not work, although the lock and interior release operate normally. The luggage compartment cover is missing.

Overall, this is a sensible and well-functioning car with good drivability and mechanics; the minor points are easy to consider when making a purchase decision. Please ask for more information or come and see the vehicle in person!
