Mercedes Sprinter Extra Long – motorhome project / ready to finish

For sale: a Mercedes Sprinter Extra Long into which a lot of time, work and money has been invested. The intention was to build it into an all‑season motorhome suitable for Finnish winter conditions. The project was left unfinished due to lack of time and a change in personal circumstances.

Many maintenance, repair and upgrade works have been carried out, especially to the engine and the motorhome fittings. The work has been done carefully and a lot of money has been spent.

Works carried out include:

✔️ Seals on the rear of the engine replaced
✔️ Parts and seals around the turbo replaced
✔️ Rear brake pipes replaced
✔️ Many other jobs (I can’t remember everything)

Special solution for winter use:
The water tanks were intended to be fitted outside the vehicle, so to prevent freezing a high‑quality 12V freeze‑protection system was purchased from Finland. The system operates automatically and keeps the water at a safe temperature in cold conditions.

More information on the vehicle condition:
Please study the pictures carefully. The vehicle is not new — this is a project that has had a lot of work done. The vehicle was previously green and has been overpainted black. Visible rust spots have been repaired, but small finishing touches may still be found here and there — nothing major in my view.

Additional paint and materials for finishing the project have been purchased and will be included with the vehicle. The lacquer alone cost about €320, and other painting materials are also included.

The vehicle is roadworthy. In my opinion the engine runs well, the gearbox operates well and the vehicle has a 160 hp engine. I am not aware of any significant technical faults and there were no issues at the last inspection.

All project items shown in the pictures are included in the sale. A lot of time, work and money saved for the next owner.

I am selling due to an urgent need for cash — otherwise the project would have stayed with me.
