EVO2 is a revised version of the popular Cooltron Reco 60 room ventilation unit. Minimalist matt white design and a new stylish remote control.

The popular Reco 60 was updated to become the Reco 60 EVO2. The unit now has an elegant matt white finish that blends even better with Finnish home interiors. The EVO2 can be connected directly to a 230 V mains supply unobtrusively. The unit is still supplied with a mains plug, which is the primary connection option. A completely new and more stylish remote control has also been developed for the unit.

In detached houses, ventilation accounts for about 30–40% of energy consumption; with the Reco 60 EVO2 you can recover up to 90% of that energy. The Cooltron Reco 60 makes it easy to convert natural ventilation to mechanical ventilation. The unit is designed to provide continuous and controlled ventilation to the installed space, bringing fresh air in and expelling exhaust air. The unit’s ceramic heat exchanger recovers heat from the exhaust air with an efficiency of up to 90%, so in addition to fresh indoor air you get savings in heating costs. In summer the Reco 60 reduces the cooling demand of an air-source heat pump, as the exhaust air cools the incoming warm air in the heat exchanger.

Reco 60 is ideal for, for example, garages, storage spaces and summer cottages. It can also improve the ventilation of detached houses that use natural ventilation. Larger spaces may require multiple units to achieve sufficient ventilation. In that case the units’ duty cycles can be timed so that some blow out while others blow in simultaneously.

The ventilation unit is designed for through-wall installation. Its telescopic design allows fitting into wall structures 250 mm–400 mm thick. For installation a hole of d=165 mm is made in the wall. The unit is easy to power using the supplied mains plug directly from a socket.

The unit is sized for continuous use and therefore should remain connected to the mains. The unit is controlled with the supplied remote control or by buttons on the unit’s edge. The unit significantly reduces heat loss, pollen, moisture and carbon dioxide, creating a pleasant indoor climate. The unit can be fitted with a separately sold HEPA 11 filter that effectively removes allergenic particles from indoor air.
