Old ambulance, well maintained and kept in good condition. Engine replaced with a factory-new unit at 204,000 km. Used for our property maintenance and the diesel particulate filter (DPF) causes problems on short trips. It attempts regeneration and, when short journeys prevent this, the engine warning light comes on and it goes into limp mode.


Has been to Wetter several times where regeneration was performed, but the same problem returned after a few days. After the last workshop visit a 100 km trip was driven and it tried to regenerate for almost the whole trip without success. So there is some fault, and we are no longer interested in investigating it. Driven a 50 km run this week; regeneration succeeded once, but it started again and, when the engine had to be turned off, it went into fault mode. I believe the vehicle can be moved by driving if the fault codes are cleared.


Fuel-fired auxiliary heater for engine and rear compartment; the engine heater is acting up, workshop estimates it needs replacing.

Used at inspection on 28 April 2026; the fault list showed the engine warning light and a broken rear reflector. So driving permission until 28 May 2026.
